I spent an awful amount of money and time trying out new products. (I haven’t stopped that yet..) But, I’ve settled down with these few products for the past few months and I’ve been loving the results.
While all these products do help me a lot, the results might vary with everyone else.
Secret One – Cleansing and Washing.
Facial cleansing is a very important step in my routine. I clean my face after a long day with a cleansing lotion from Simple. A tiny bit goes a long way and even removes eye makeup.
Then I move one to wipe it all off with this micellar water. Micellar water is great to remove dirt deep in your pores.
Twice a week and on days I feel like I might break out, I use a very mild facial scrub, also from the Simple brand. This helps unclog pores and removes dead skin cells from the surface of my face.
Moving on, I then alternate between these two Simple facial cleaners for no reason in particular. And they both work perfectly.
Secret Two- Moisturizing.
Seriously guys, I learnt this the way. I have a combination to oily skin. During the day time, I tend to look like an oil ball (and I’m completely fine with that, apparently this makes your skin). Over the years, I learnt that, even if I’m on the verge of breaking out so bad, I still need to moisturize no matter. On a daily basis, I tend to use either this lightweight moisturizer from Simple or Nivea. Both work amazingly well, but this one from Nivea has SPF of 25. I prefer to use that on sunny days. (I know I know, you still need SPF on gloomy days I know).
At night, I like to have a pretty rich moisturizer to help my skin regenerate. I use these two from L’Oreal. The difference? Not much.
Secret Three – Mask.
Once a week, usually on Sundays, I like to give my skin some extra TLC (-current state of writing this blog). Based on the state of my skin, I alternate between these two masks from The Body Shop. I also like to use this green clay which helps to remove impurities and reduces oiliness on my face.
Secret Four – Extras.
For days when I notice that I am about to break out or something like that, I use Calendula balm and give it a good massage on the spot. I use tea tree oil for dealing with big red sport and it clams down that awful pain and redness overnight.
You only have a skin and a face once, you’re the only person responsible for taking care of it. If you don’t, no one else will.
I tried to keep this post as short as possible. I hope some of these products help you guys out there.
THE BIGGEST SECRET OF ALL: Don’t forget to drink a lot of water. I mean a LOT!
I’d love to hear from you, leave a comment or an email and I’d be more than happy to reply.
